Weekend news update

A collection of funny wacky off the wall news stories coming in from around the world. We have bank robbers in Germany who blew up the bank rather than just it's doors, a crocodile that managed to escape and roam around a plane enroute to Melborne and a heart warming story of an ex-marine and his dog reunited.

I found this quite amusing. Robbers in a small German town used too much explosives and blew up a bank, when, presumably, they were "only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"Apparently debris from the blast flew almost 300 feet. Luckily no one was hurt. Click HERE to find out more.

Apparently scientists have discovered that castrating men leads to them having a longer life. Apparently male sex hormones are responsible for shortening the lives of men. All very well but what's the point of living a longer life if you are bloody miserable. No ones chopping off my willy. Click HERE to find out more.

A heart warming story in The Journal today about how a marine who had to leave his faithful dog behind in Afghanistan to come home have been reunited. I really enjoyed reading this story and hope that this lovely black Lab enjoys his well earned retirement. Recent changes in legislation allow for dog handlers to adopt their dogs when they have finished their time in the military. Click HERE to find out more.

Freaky stuff from down under. In what sounds like something out of a horror movie a crocodile escaped from its cage on a Qantas flight last week, and was found roaming free in the cargo hold when the plane touched down in Melbourne. Probably not great advertising for Quantas. Click HERE to find out more.
