The Lone Ranger rides again
One of the best things about growing up in the eighties was the television shows. Who doesn't remember Airwolf, Magnum PI, Macgyver and Dallas just to name a few. Things have moved on since then and those shows are some what obsolete these days. Having said that there really is no substitute for a great storyline with original appealing characters and one of the better ones around was The Lone Ranger. If you weren't around in the eighties then what you need to know is that the Lone Ranger was a fictional character, a masked ex- Texas Ranger who, with his Indian companion Tonto, fought injustice in the American Old West. The character has now become an enduring icon of American culture.
The good news is that the new movie version of The Lone Ranger is going to be hitting our cinemas very soon and with Johnny Depp playing Tonto you just know it's going to be worth watching. I managed to track down the original opening theme song and boy did it bring back some memories.
Below you can watch the awesome trailer for the new Lone Ranger movie from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the film making team behind the blockbuster "Pirates of the Caribbean franchise". I think this is going to be well worth watching.
