The Braai Broodjie

13 Nov 2011 Comments 1
A braai without a Braai Broodjie is not really a braai. It's like having a brandy without the coke...eish

There are many different variations and recipes for braai broodjies and they are all good. Having said that you can't go wrong with the good old conventional version. All you need is some white bread buttered on the outside and lots of onion, tomato and cheese with a dash of good old Mrs Balls chutney stuffed inbetween. Place the sarmie in a braai grid to keep it altogether and wack it on your fire. Turn it a few times until it is crispy and tuck right in.

works well with just a can of beer and 1/2 kilo of flour too, bake it in a potjie.
