South Africa's sexiest airline

Along with nurses and nuns, flight attendants and pilots seem to inhabit a special place in the fantasy world of most hot-blooded humans. Why exactly, we cannot say, but we're guessing it might have something to do with the confinement of a flight, the illusion of servitude and the sexy outfits.

 

 

So, it comes as no surprise that British flight comparison site, Jetcost, recently decided to host a poll in which their users were asked to vote for the "most attractive UK airline staff." The results were revealed with Virgin triumphantly coming out on top with 21 % of the votes and Ryanair at the bottom with only 5%.

Totally intrigued, we decided to find out who our readers deem to be the fairest of all the flight attendants here in South Africa.

 

 

Providing six options, including Kulula, 1Time, SAA, Velvet Sky, Mango and "other," we put it out there, and this is what our readers said:

In last place, with only 4% of the votes, we have Velvet Sky.

However, judging by the photo above, this result is rather contestable and may come down to the simple saying "unkown, unloved." Sadly, the company's recent descent into financial doldrums may mean that the crew never gets the opportunity to shine as they should for South African travellers.

With 15% each, SAA and 1Time shared the neither-here-nor-there second last position.

 

 

While no one really commented on 1Time, a lot of people seemed to think that SAA's cabin crew has seen better days. Perhaps they liked the shiny ensemble as seen above.

Mango made their mark, gaining an impressive 24 % of the votes.

What can one say, happy people are sexy people! As one, NAZO, said in the comment section: "Mango has got the best looking staff in the entire Airport Moss Deff! Keep it up Mango.....Yall looking Mangolicious!"

Aaaaaand the winner *drum roll please* with a whopping 35% of the votes, turned out to be green and gorgeous Kulula.

 

Kulula's staff pride themselves in being well groomed and striking, and judging by the new outfits shown in the photo above, they're just getting hotter by the day.

Obviously their joy of life and love of jokes makes them attractive both on the inside and the out.

Only 7% of our readers, didn't find any of the above options attractive, and cast their lot in "other," and some explained their choice in the comment section.

 

According to one anonymous reader Inter Air on their code share flight using Air Austral have the hottest hostesses and stewards around, while another seems to think that South African airlines are lacking in the looks department altogether, stating "my choice is Singapore Airlines."

Yet others proved themselves unsuperficial by stating things like "I don't really mind how attractive the airline staff are - I am much more concerned with how I am treated on board one of their flights" and another "Best and sufficent airline always to time good staff."
