Do you give a fuck what other people think?
As far as I am concerned there are only three types of people in this world. Lions, sheep and insects. Lions the alphas, sheep the betas of society with the useless insects that have found so little purpose with their lives that they just sit on the side lines of life and talk more shit than the sheep do. Remember people great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events and small minds discuss people. People love to gossip and talk shit way too much these days. Social media has played a huge role in this sad state of affairs. Are you one of those sad people that try to ensure that your Facebook profile picture is better than your friends? Do you really believe this will make you more interesting or attractive to your friends or the opposite sex? If so would you really want to be with someone that shallow who thought that way?
Are you able to look at yourself in the mirror and recognize what type of person you really are? Are you a lion or are you just going to be a sheep all your life? Are you going to just discuss what happens in the world by giving your opinion on Facebook or Twitter or are you actually going to create your own news? Are you going to be a small mind that just worries about what others are doing with themselves? Or are you going to be a great mind, think for yourself and actually do something with your ideas? When last did you challenge societies conventions? Have you ever been unhappy with something that was accepted as being the norm and gone out and tried to change it?
If you haven’t been a lion thus far then it’s time to become one right now. Giving a shit about what others are doing will not make your life any better whatsoever. The lion does not worry about what the sheep have to say about them. The lion also doesn’t look for approval ratings to feel good about themselves. The only opinion you should worry about is your own.
When last, if ever, was it reported that you had challenged the system or something you perceived to be an injustice? I have and I can confirm that it takes big shiny balls of steel. And yes it is not easy and you will get kicked and bullied as you walk down the path few take but at the end you will come out stronger and more resilient.
Don't misunderstand me I am not relating success to material worth. If your dream is to own an Aston Martin and live in Sandton then go for it. If you want to find solice in a bottle then I say go for it and be the biggest bad ass drunk on the face of the planet. If sex and woman are your thing then go for it and shag away to your hearts content (just try and stay away from the Stage Five Clingers). The trick is be able to look at yourself and figure out just what it is that drives you as a person and what it is exactly that you want to do.
To be an alpha in this world you need to break away from the sheep mindset. The sheep worry about what other sheep say about them because they are members of the same pathetic social class. The sheep are easy to spot on Facebook. Go and look for profile pictures that look like they were staged in a photography studio. Do you really think anyone is impressed by this crap? The reason the lion doesn’t care is because he knows he is dominant and the opinions of others don’t alter his actions. The easiest way to become a nobody who doesn’t standout is to sit there and monitor what everyone is saying about you so you can change yourself based on their standards.
Respect is earned, not given and if you want it then you are going to have to silence your critics with your successes instead of with lame comments on social media platforms. Sheep are always going to talk because they are bitter that they never reached the type of success you will attain or had the courage to try. Those who don’t do, talk.
Have you ever been in a relationship with someone and had a third party interfere for no reason other than petty jealousy. This third party is a flea infested sheep. These sheep thrive in destroying other peoples dreams and love breaking someone down to bring them down to their level so that they can feel better about themselves.
In a world that is made up of young adults stalking each other on Facebook and Twitter and gossiping to numb their insecurities, you should try and rise above this bullshit and worry about the direction of your own life, not somebody else’s.
I came across a video recently of a guy who loves shoes. In fact this guy loves his shoes so much he posted this video on Youtube about his shoes. I say good for him! If this is what he is passionate about then he is a lion (albeit a rather dainty one). The difference between this guy and the sheep is that he knows what he is passionate about and is doing something about it and yes the video does make for some interesting viewing.
Try to remember that you have a mountain to climb and the beautiful thing is that when you get to the top you wont be able to hear any gossip from up there.
A lion does not worry about the opinion of sheep in fact he couldn't give a flying fuck.

This is a great article because it really pushes to defy the status quo. Many of my peers in high school were conformist and I had a hard time being myself and still do. I started freshmen year with a very humble and kind mentality. However as the years progressed in high school I was always picked on and talked about so I end up conforming sadly :( ..

This article reminds me that there are people out here who understands what it is like be strong but yet be an out cast in the eyes of society. Once again, very stirring article.
