Really great story in the news today about how a Mitchells Plain father who grew up in a township and played his first game of chess at 13, has become South Africa’s first chess grandmaster. This a huge accomplishment. Apart from World Champion, Grandmaster is the highest title a chess player can attain. Once achieved, the title is held for life.[Full article at IOL]
